Sunday, 12/13/09, I had the pleasure and privilege of videotaping the Academy of Lifelong Learning Band Concert. The holiday concert was performed at the University of Delaware in the Amy duPont Building, Loudis Hall.
The band was established 10 years ago and is currently under the direction of Paul Hess. There are about 70 players ranging in age from 52 – 88. The program selections included “All Is Calm”, “Shalom”, and “Christmas Festival". The selection “Fanfare and Decennial Jubilee” was written to dedicate the 10th anniversary of the band.
