Angie & Steve Bowlsbey

Angie & Steve Bowlsbey were married on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Frog Hollow Golf Club Middletown, DE. What a beautiful day it was, bright and sunny. About 150 family and friends gathered to help celebrate and join in the fun. I had a great time working with Carrie Megahan of Reflections Photography. She's a great photographer and I recommend her highly. Here's a quick highlight clip

I videotaped the Islamic Academy of Delaware Graduation.  This is the 1st year the academy has been in operation.  About 50 students ranging from PreK to 6 grade graduated.  This was the first time I ever filmed anything in the Islamic religion.  Islam is rich in tradition and was evident during the ceremony with readings from the Quran.  It was a great experience for me and I was honored to be a part of it.
I videotaped The Crefeld School graduation on Friday, June 8, 2012. The Crefeld School is located in Philadelphia. A total of 21 graduates received their high school diplomas and many of the graduates will be attending area local colleges and universities for Music and Art. Congratulations to all graduates and best of luck in all you do!

I videotaped a memorial service on Friday, June 2. I worked with Doherty Funeral Home and, out of respect for the family, I will not mention names.

I know some people might think that videotaping a viewing and memorial service is a little ghoulish, however, if it aids in allowing closure for the family there is absolutely nothing wrong in doing it. In this situation several children could not attend due to distance and it was the only way that they could feel as though they were there.

I was extremely conscientious of the surroundings and what I was filming for the family. I was very unobtrusive, confining myself to the back of the room, and was able to capture footage of people entering the area and being greeted. It was a good shot and I was glad to be part of it. I do about 10 memorial services each year and, when your really think about it, a memorial service is a service for the attendants and a true celebration of life.

Dina & Andrew "A Wedding Proposal", May 13, 2012

Andrew Gharis proposed to Dina Yousry on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Longwood Gardens. The day could not have been more perfect. About 15 friends helped celebrate their event with special "Please Say Yes" tee shirts. Andrew had the entire proposal planned out including exactly where and when to zoom in and out. A wireless lapel microphone was placed on Andrew to be sure we captured the audio perfectly. To place the mic on Andrew so Dina would not see me, Andrew and I met in the restroom of Longwood Gardens. I can only wonder what the other people in the restroom were thinking when they saw me walk in with the video camera. That's a first but it was fantastic shoot and I was honored to be there. Congratulations, Dina & Andrew -- much love and happiness! Here's the 10 minute highlight clip

Celebrate Him, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church,

Good Friday we videotaped "Celebrate Him" at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. This is the 2nd year we taped this event and the performance was a huge success. Singers from 4 different churches participated in the concert. Selections from "All Hail the Power", "Call Him", and "Work It Out" were performed with soloists. The talent by all singers was absolutely phenomenal. Here's a short 4 minute clip.

Wilmington Drama League, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Wilmington DE

Friday, 3/30/12, I filmed the Wilmington Drama League's presentation of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile". It's a 1 act play written by Steve Martin wondering what would happen if Pablo Picasso met Albert Einstein. It is set at the beginning of the 20th century, France, in the bar Lapin Agile. Toward the end of the play a special guest visits from the future. It was a great play and a lot of fun to film. Congratulations to a great cast! Here's a short 3 minute clip.
