Becky Markowitz's Bat Mitzvah, 9/21/2013

What a beautiful day it was on Saturday, September 21, 2013 to celebrate Becky Markowitz's Bat Mitzvah. A Bat Mitzvah, like a Bar Mitzvah for a young man, occurs when a girl reaches 13 years old and is recognized by Jewish tradition as having the same rights as an adult. She is now morally and ethically responsible for her decisions and actions. The ceremony was held at Beth Emeth on Lea Blvd and the reception was held at the Waterfall Banquet Center on Philadelphia Pike. About 100 family and friends helped Becky celebrate this new chapter in her life. Rich in tradition, ceremonies such as Hora, Candle Lighting Ceremony, and Blessing were all evident. Susan & Woody - 50th Wedding Anniversary 8/3/13

On Saturday, August 3, 2013 I had the privilege of videotaping Susan and Woody Boyer's 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was held at the Hellam Fire Company in Hellam, PA. About 100 family and friends attended. It was a great event, filled with both laughter and tears. Susan and Woody have 3 sons. Two of their sons, Mike and Todd, were present but unfortunately David was not able to attend as he was deployed oversees. In honor of all those who serve in the military a short tribute was done by singing "I'm Proud To Be An American". It was a very poignant moment and everyone joined it. 2013 Philadelphia Honor Band

On Saturday evening I had the distinct privilege of filming the 2013 Philadelphia Area Honor Band under the direction of Dr. Randy Navarre of Northeastern Music Programs.    The concert was held at St. Mary's Hall, Villanova University.  Northeastern Music Programs provides certified music teachers, both instrumental and classroom, to private and parochial schools throughout the Delaware Valley.  Music selections included "Columbia, The Gem Of The Ocean", "Reflections On A Glass Castle", and "Viennese Sonatina No. 1".  One of the selections Dr. Navarre conducted was "O Mio Babbino Caro" where Dr. Navarre only used body language to conduct the band.  About 50 students, ranging from grades 5-8 from about 20 parochial schools, participated.  Here's a 3 1/2 minute highlight reel

Celebrate Him, 2013

This is the 3rd year I had the privilege of filming the Celebrate Him concert series .  This year's was titled "Celebrate Him, 2013". It was held at St. Luke Christian Center in Chester, PA.   I worked with Minister Rodney Roberson and his new ministry "Kingdom Empowerment Ministries".  The concert was an uplifting service for Good Friday, 2013.  About 50 members are in the choir and selections included "In Everything Give Thanks", "Marvelous Things", and "It's Done".  Here's a 3 minute highlight clip from the concert minister Rodney Roberson, St. Luke Christian Center, Celebrate Him, 2013, Chester PA, videography, video, church video

Congratulations, Anyree

Congratulations Anyree! On Saturday, February 16, 2013 I had the privilege of filming Anyree's Sweet 16 Birthday Party. Much like a quinceanera, this is a celebration of a young girl transitioning into womanhood. There is a changing of shoes, to the placing of the tiarra, father daughter dance and much more. The celebration was held at the Waterfall Banquet Center in Wilmington, DE for about 100 family and friends. It was a party and I had a great time. Aimee & Jared Schwartz, B'nai Mitzvah

On Saturday, January 5, 2013, I filmed Aimee & Jared Schwartz's B'nai Mitzvah. On Thursday, January 3, 2013 I met both Aimee & Jared for the first time at their rehearsal at Kesher Isreal Synagogue in West Chester. From our very first meeting it was obvious they were special young adults with a great sense of humor. The party was held at the DoubleTree Hotel in North Wilmington. About 160 family and friends attended. I, again, worked with Brad Glazier of Glazier Photography which was a real pleasure. Elizabeth Baker Flute Recital, Newark DE, University of Delaware

  
On Sunday, December 2, 2012, I had the privilege of videotaping Beth Baker's Graduate Flute Recital at Bayard Sharp Hall at the University of Delaware. Beth performed selections from Bach, Muczynski, and Hoover. The recital was in partial fulfillment of the Master of Music in Performance. Here's a 2 minute highlight trailer.

Carol & Joe - Cape Breton Island and Prince Edward Island

What a blast Carol & I had in Cape Breton Island and Prince Edward Island. We hiked, biked, rode segways, saw concerts, and just relaxed. We started our journey at Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia Canada and after about 5 nights went to the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. We got home Sunday, 7/9/12 after a 17 hour drive. Celebrate Him, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church,

Good Friday we videotaped "Celebrate Him" at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. This is the 2nd year we taped this event and the performance was a huge success. Singers from 4 different churches participated in the concert. Selections from "All Hail the Power", "Call Him", and "Work It Out" were performed with soloists. The talent by all singers was absolutely phenomenal. Here's a short 4 minute clip.

Wilmington Drama League, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Wilmington DE

Friday, 3/30/12, I filmed the Wilmington Drama League's presentation of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile". It's a 1 act play written by Steve Martin wondering what would happen if Pablo Picasso met Albert Einstein. It is set at the beginning of the 20th century, France, in the bar Lapin Agile. Toward the end of the play a special guest visits from the future. It was a great play and a lot of fun to film. Congratulations to a great cast! Here's a short 3 minute clip.
