Sergio Grasso, NIAF, Hilton DC, Washington DC,

On Saturday, October 29, 2011, I had the real pleasure of videotaping Sergio Grasso of Rome, Italy at the NIAF, The National Italian American Foundation. "The NIAF is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational foundation that promotes Italian American culture and heritage. It serves as a resource on the Italian American community and has educational and youth programs including scholarships, grants, heritage travel and mentoring." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Italian_American_Foundation). President Obama addressed the organization later that evening.

Sergio is a food anthropologist and calls himself a "gentlemen's chef". This was the 2nd time I videotaped Sergio. I taped him at a cooking demonstration at a local restaurant in the Wilmington, DE area. He infuses his demonstration with a great deal of humor, knowledge, and cultural history. I had a great time and hope to videotape him again real soon! Here's a short 5 minute highlight clip, "Sergio Grasso".
